Third part of my DNS setup notes: changing the DNSSEC config from NSEC to NSEC3. This has be on my TODO list for over a year now, and despite the tutorial at the ISC Knowledge Base, the ride was a bit bumpy.

Generating new keys

The previous keys were using the default RSASHA1 algorithm (number 5), and we need new keys using RSASHA256 (number 8).

Generating those keys was easy. On a machine with enough available entropy in /dev/random (such as a Raspberry Pi with its hardware random number generator) run:

dnssec-keygen -a RSASHA256 -b 2048 -3 example.com
dnssec-keygen -a RSASHA256 -b 2048 -3 -fk example.com

Transfer the keys to the server where Bind is running, into the directory where Bind is looking for them.

Loading the keys

The documentation says to load the keys with

rndc loadkeys example.net

but that ended with a cryptic message in the logs:

NSEC only DNSKEYs and NSEC3 chains not allowed

Apparently, the algorithm of the old keys does not allow to use NSEC3 (which I knew) so Bind refuses to load these keys (which I didn't anticipate). I eventually resorted to stopping Bind completely, moving away the old keys, deleting the *.signed and *.signed.jnl files in /var/cache/bind/ and restarting Bind. The new keys got then automatically loaded, and the zone was re-signed using NSEC.

NSEC3 at last

I could then resume with the tutorial.

First, generate a random salt:

openssl rand -hex 4

(let's assume the result of that operation was “d8add234”).

Then tell Bind the parameters it needs to create NSEC3 records:

rndc signing -nsec3param 1 0 10 d8add234 example.com.

Then check that the zone is signed with

rndc signing -list example.com

Linking the zones

Since the keys have changed, you need to update your domain's DS record in your parent domains DNS, using the tool provided to you by your registrar. This step is the same as in the “Linking the zones” of the previous part of this tutorial.

Bruce Banner hides in Brazil and communicates secretly with an American biologist to find a cure to his condition, while training to keep his pulse rate down to avoid transforming into the Hulk. The US army locates him by chance and sends a commando to capture him. Banner escapes and travels back to Virginia, to recover data on the university's computers. The data is gone, but Banner reunites with Betty, who had kept the data out of reach of the military. Banner is attacked again by commandos, this time led by Blonsky, a soldier whose abilities have been enhanced thanks to an abandoned project of super-soldier. He is defeated by the Hulk, and Banner and Betty escape to New York where the biologists lives. They attempt to cure Banner, but the attempt fails. Banner and Betty are captured by the commandoes, and Blonsky forces the biologist to inject him some of Banner's synthesized blood, turning him into a large and mad monster. Banner convinces the military that only him can stop Blonsky, currently rampaging through Harlem. After defeating the monster, Banner flees again. Later, while learning to control his power, he is approached by Tony Stark who informs him that he is putting a team together.

Shepherd Neame, Faversham, Kent, England. 4.5% alcohol.

Loki arrives on Earth through a wormhole provoked by the Tesseract that S.H.I.E.L.D. had found some time earlier. He steals the artefact and takes control of the minds of Erik Selvig to force him to continue working on a way to create a larger wormhole. Fury tries and convinces Bruce Banner, Tony Stark and Steve Rogers to cooperate as the “Avengers initiative”. They are soon joined by Thor who wants to prevent Loki to do more damage. They manage to catch Loki and all embark on a helicarrier, where Loki is kept prisoner. The latter however is freed by his henchmen. Banner then locates the Tesseract on the top of Stark tower. After arguing about the fact that S.H.I.E.L.D. wants to make weapons from the Tesseract, the Avengers unite to fight the invasion of the Chitauri, Loki's allies in invading Earth. After a long fight in Manhattan, Iron Man diverts a nuclear missile, meant to destroy the Chitauri along with Manhattan, through the wormhole and destroys their main ship. The wormhole is then closed, and the Tesseract is taken by Thor to Asgaard for safekeeping.

Le transfert Levant-Meyer permet de voyager instantanément vers des planètes lointains. Sur Groombridge 1618, une équipe d'exploration à laquelle participe Jacque Lefavre découvre une créature (appelée « pont de Groombridge ») qui permet à deux personnes de lire dans les pensées l'une de l'autre. On découvre rapidement que toute personne tentant de faire du mal à un pont est poussée à se suicider, et la première personne à toucher un pont meurt d'autant plus vite qu'elle dispose de pouvoirs télépathiques puissants. Lors d'une mission d'exploration sur une autre planète, l'équipe est rapidement décimée par des créatures inconnues. Jacque et son équipe parviennent lors d'une mission ultérieure à isoler et ramener avec eux une de ces créatures et à communiquer avec elle grâce à un pont, et à apprendre leur nom: L'vrai. Plus tard, une créature, déguisée en l'un des membres de l'équipe de Jacque, s'infiltre chez les explorateurs. Grâce à Jacque et un pont, on découvre que L'vrai n'ont pas de notion d'individu, et se présentent sous la forme sous laquelle on s'attend à les voir, et se comportent de la manière à laquelle on s'attend à ce qu'elles se comportent. Les explorateurs s'attendant à voir des créatures hostiles ont donc été attaqués. Après avoir obtenu de réunir les chefs des États de la Terre, L'vrai explique ils ne peuvent pas laisser les Terriens se répandre dans la galaxie, et ils les extermineraient s'ils devenaient trop encombrants et n'arrivaient pas à se mettre d'accord avec L'vrai sur les territoires qui peuvent être colonisés. Jacque semble être le seul humain étant capable de communiquer avec L'vrai. On le convainc donc d'avoir une descendance nombreuse, et en quelques générations, une part importante de la population terrienne possède son don, ce qui assure un avenir paisible aux terriens.

Magic Rock, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. 7.4% alcohol.

Steve Rogers leads a raid on a S.H.I.E.L.D ship which has been taken by terrorists. His partner, Natasha Romanoff has a secondary mission, which is to steal data from the ship. Rogers' boss, Nick Fury, introduces him to project Insight, three Helicarriers meant to be launched soon, linked to spy satellites, and able to eliminate any threat. Fury is suspicious about Insight's actual goals and asks Pierce to delay the project. Soon after, Fury is attacked by the Winter Soldier and heavily wounded. He hides in Rogers' appartment, tells him that S.H.I.E.L.D has been compromised and gives him the data obtained on the ship. Fury is taken to the hospital where he dies. When Rogers refuses to surrender the data, S.H.I.E.L.D accuses Rogers of treason, but any attempt to stop him fails. With the help of Romanoff, the data leads them to an old secret facility where a bunch of Cold War era computers keep the mind of Arnim Zola alive. The latter tells them that S.H.I.E.L.D has been infiltrated by Hydra from the day when Zola was invited to work for them, after World War II. They then locate a Hydra mole who reveals that Hydra controls project Insight, and along with a data-mining algorithm, intends to use it to preventively kill millions of people who may threaten Hydra's future plans. During yet another attack by the Winter Soldier, Rogers recognizes in him his old WWII friend Bucky, who has been brainwashed and given a mechanical arm. They are then arrested but saved by a close friend of Fury who takes them to a safehouse where they meet Fury, who had faked his death. Fury gives them three control chips that need to be swapped with the ones on he Helicarriers to take over control from Hydra. While Pierce reveals himself to be a traitor, Rogers and his companions replace the chips just in time. The Winter Soldier escapes and recovers part of his memories.

During a Convergence, when the nine realms are aligned and one can travel from one to the next through gravitic anomalies, Jane finds herself in an unknown place and comes into contact with the Aether, an ancient relic with a huge power of destruction. Malekith the dark elf seeks the Aether to return the universe to its primordial chaos. Jane is then taken to Asgard by Thor to remove the Aether from her body, with no success. To divert Malekith from his attack on Asgard, Thor asks Loki's help to find a passage to Svartalfheim, using Jane to lure Malekith there in the hope to confront him and destroy the Aether. The plan fails as the Aether cannot be destroyed, and Malkith, now in possession of its power, travels to the center of the Convergence, in Greenwich. Thor fights him on his way there, and is sent back by Jane's scientific team's tools in the nick of time to Svartalfheim to be crushed by his own ship. The Aether is then given to the Collector for safe-keeping.

The London Beer Factory, London, England. 4.3% alcohol.

Ben Horwood, historien anglais, est amené à travailler pour une agence gouvernementale fondée par Churchill pour surveiller les activité des nazis qui s'intéressaient aux puissances mystiques du passé, en remplacement du professeur Wheelan, son ancien directeur de recherches, mort récemment dans un accident. Ben et sa coéquipière Kate enquêtent sur les vols d'un nombre de reliques archéologiques: de petites pyramides de métal enchassant un cristal volés dans une église anglaise du moyen-âge et dans le tombeau d'un empereur japonais, des pages arrachées d'un livre très ancien sur l'alchimie… À chaque fois, des personnes ont été tuées de sang-froid. Lorsqu'ils apprennent qu'une autre pyramide est vendue aux enchères, ils obtiennent l'accord de l'acheteur pour tendre un piège aux voleurs. Ces derniers se suicident pour éviter d'être interrogés, mais Ben et Kate trouvent des documents indiquant une sépulture cachée au fond du temple original d'Abou Simbel, actuellement enseveli sous le lac Nasser. Accompagné de plongeurs expérimentés, Ben y plonge au risque de sa vie et en rapporte des objets. Ils apprennent que ces objets ont été utilisé il y a plusieurs millénaires dans une expérience utilisant la lumière du soleil et les pyramides appelée « Premier Miracle » qui a mal tourné et qui a tellement effrayé les savants et les monarques de l'époque que les composants des appareils ont été dispersés aux quatre coins du monde. Seules les personnes portant des vêtements couverts d'or ont survécu, marquant ainsi le début de l'intérêt des hommes pour ce métal. Apprenant que Wheelan était parti en vacances dans le nord de l'Écosse avant son accident, dans une région inhospitalière, Ben et Kate partent sur les traces de l'historien. Ils découvrent dans une grotte un sous-marin allemand de la seconde guerre mondiale, et finissent par être fait prisonniers de la personne à l'origine des vols, Kord Denker, qui a convaincu Wheelan (dont le décès est donc une mise en scène) de participer à son entrprise. Denker se présente comme le petit-fils d'Hitler; ce dernier n'est pas mort à Berlin en 1945, mais s'est enfui et a passé la fin de ses jours avec sa famille sur une île des Shetlands. Denker veut recréer les conditions du Premier Miracle afin de l'utiliser comme source d'énergie, prétendument pour en faire profiter l'humanité. Ben réussit à convaincre Wheelan que Denker est aussi mégalomaniaque que son grand-père; Wheelan s'assure alors que Denker et lui se retrouvent au coeur de l'expérience au moment de la mise en marche et qu'ils font calciner.

Fruity smell, reminding me of exotic fruits (passion maybe?) and maybe a grapefruit-like bitterness. Contains barley malt.

In New York, Billy Wong's partner is shot by gangsters. Billy chases and kills the last of them out of revenge. Wong and his new partner then go to Hong Kong to free a kidnapped woman, probably by order of crime boss Harold Ko. They eventually discover Ko's drug laboratory, which they destroy before rescuing the kidnapped woman. She is however taken prisoner again since the police chief is a traitor. Wong fights Ko's henchman before chasing Ko and killing him.

The Smurfette is the only Smurf who is not named after what she does. One day in the forest, she sees a blue creature that she does not know. She's soon after captured by Gargamel, and they both discover, from the hat lost by the creature, that it is possibly a Smurf living in a village in the forbidden forest. She is freed by a few fellow Smurfs, and the next night, they decide to go to this other village. After escaping dangerous flowers and animals, they follow the river on a raft, and barely escape Gargamel, who also went searching for the village. The Smurf party discover a village in the trees, inhabited only by female Smurfs. Papa Smurf, who had discovered the disappearance of the Smurfette's party, then appears. Soon after, Gargamel attacks the village in the trees, capturing all Smurfs except the Smurfette because she is not a real Smurf and has no magical blue essence. At his lair, Gargamel starts extracting the essence from the captured Smurfs as the Smurfette appears. Gargamel uses his magic on her, she absorbs it all, causing the lair to explode and the Smurfette to turn back into a lump of blue clay. Back at their village, the Smurfs mourn her, and their magic gives life to the Smurfette once again.

Quite bitter and hoppy. Contains malted barley and wheat.

Sadler's Ales Brewery, Stourbridge, West Midlands, England. 5.0% alcohol.

Préparer une recette de gâteau au yaourt simple. J'ai ajouté 12g de sucre vanillé pour le goût. À la place du moule à cake, utiliser un moule à manqué beurré et fariné.

Séparer la pâte en six portions, et colorer chaque portion avec un colorant alimentaire (rouge, jaune plus rouge pour l'orange, jaune, vert, bleu et rouge plus bleu pour le violet)

Verser la pâte rouge au centre du moule. Par dessus, verser lentement la pâte orange en la faisant tomber d'une hauteur la plus faible possible. Si possible, tourner le moule d'un quart de tour au cours du versement pour que la pâte forme un disque plutôt qu'une ellipse.

Verser de la même manière le jaune, puis le vert, le bleu et le violet.

Cuire 20-25 min au four à 200 °C. Une aiguille enfoncée dans le gâteau doit ressortir propre.

Déguster avec les yeux avant de manger :)

Les explorateurs d'Amalthée sont emportés par le vaisseau monde à travers Nemesis, le trou noir symmétrique du soleil, vers la la planète Vénus trois milliards d'années plus tôt. La planète est en pleine terraformation par les amalthéens, mais à cause d'un bombardement par des comètes, la situation ne restera pas stable. Les amalthéens sont scindés en deux clans, ceux qui veulent continuer à terraformer Vénus conformément à leur Mandat, et ceux qui, avec les terriens, partent terraformer Mars. Pendant un temps tout se passe bien, mais la faction opposé attaque Mars et interrompt définitivement la terraformation. Les terriens sont alors placés en sommeil, mais le professeur Forster est reveillé temporairement pour visiter la Crête antique. Il découvre que Mays fait de son mieux pour empêcher les amalthéens de changer l'Histoire, et planter les prémisses de la Connaissance. Les terriens sont finalemement ramenés sur la Terre qu'ils avaient quittée, et découvrent que les amalthéens se sont installés au plus profond des océans.

Les habitants d'Aquablue se rebellent contre les colons terriens lorsqu'un de ces derniers tue accidentellement un des leurs. La tension augmente encole lorsque le fils de Nao retrouve par hasard Rakahanga, le harpon sacré utilisé autrefois par son père, et que les rebelles s'emparent d'armes des terriens. En même temps, sur un îlot désert, un rescapé du Standard-Island parvient à envoyer un message radio où il indique que l'île flottante n'avait pas été attaquée par des autochtones, mais par des mercenaires qui sont justement et train de tenter de détruire l'entrée de la cité sous-marine.

Sur Ganymède, une expédition se prépare à explorer la petite lune Amalthée, car elle avait été la destination des messages envoyés par les créatures de Jupiter. Au cours de la mission Sir Randolph Mays, un journaliste, détourne une capsule toursitique pour se poser en catastrphe sur Amalthée et rejoindre l'expédition malgré la quarantaine imposée par le Bureau de Contrôle spatial. L'expédition découvre de la vie sous-marine sous la glace de la lune. Plus en profondeur, le noyau de la planète se révèle être un vaisseau spatial gigantesque, dans lequel ils découvrent une statue d'un représentant présumé de la Culture X qui a visité la Terre par le passé. Mays se révèle être le chef du culte du Libre Esprit, et tente de tuer tous le membres de l'exédition, mais il est arrêté par Sparta. Tout au long de l'expédition, l'océan d'Amalthée s'est évaporé, et lorsque le vaisseau est libre, il emporte les membres de l'expédition en direction de la Terre.

Nuada, prince of the magical creatures, attempts to put together the pieces of a crown that would allow him to control the golden army and vanquish the humans. Hellboy, a demon, works for an agency employing magical creatures. They investigate an attack on an auction house where a piece of the crown was being sold. Hellboy and his team's investigation take them to the troll market, a city under the Brooklyn Bridge, where they meet Princess Nuala. They help her hide a map indicating the location of the Army. They however fail, and Nuada takes the map. The agents follow him to Ireland, where the army is hidden. Hellboy fights Nuada for the crown and eventually defeat him.

Moran engage une bande de garçons des rues pour l'aider à trouver Holmes. Ce dernier s'enfuit à temps, mais ses Irréguliers sont fait prisonniers et échappend de peu à la mort, sauvant au passage les autres garçons dont Moran voulait se débarasser afin de ne pas laisser de témoins. Holmes reprend contact avec Watson pour tendre un piège à Moran, donnant à ce dernier la possibilité de l'assassiner depuis la maison voisine, où l'attend déjà Scotland Yard.

Howard Falcon prépare une expédition dans l'atmosphère de Jupiter dans une sorte de montgolfière. Sparta de son coté accepte d'enquêter sur les prophètes du Libre Esprit pour les Salamandres (dont fait partie son supérieur au Bureau de Contrôle Spatial), un groupe de personnes ayant reçu l'enseignement du Libre Esprit mais combattant son aspect sectaire et conspirateur. Pendant l'expédition de Falcon, Sparta est cachée à bord du vaisseau-mère, souffrant d'une addiction à une drogue censée lui permettre de retrouver la mémoire du traîtement subi quelques années plus tôt lorsqu'elle était aux mains des Prophètes. La drogue la rend paranoïaque et elle tente de saboter le véhicule de Falcon. Ce dernier rencontre des créatures vivantes dans l'atmosphère de Jupiter qui transmettent un message par radio : « Ils sont arrivés ». Blake, à bord du vaisseau-mère, fait échouer une mutinerie des Prophètes qui croient que les créatures sont les messagers du Pancréateur, dont ils attendent la venue.

Une recette adaptée de Cookwise avec des ingrédients disponibles en Finlande.

Ingrédients

Pour environ 32 cookies.

• 140g + 20g beurre doux, mou
• 125g noix de pécan
• 200g fariinisokeri
• 1 c. à soupe extrait de vanille liquide Dr. Oetker
• 1 petit oeuf (53g)
• 200g Kinnusen myllyn luomu vehnäjauho (10.4 % de protéines)
• 1,5 c. à café poudre à lever
• 1 pincée de sel
• 80g chocolat noir 72% Pirkka luomu
• 100g chocolat au lait Panda

Préparation

• Préchauffer le four à 180 °C, étaler les noix de pécan sur une plaque à biscuits.
• Mélanger (30s au mixeur) la farine, la levure chimique et le sel.
• Battre (au batteur éléctrique équipé d'un fouet) 140g de beurre avec le sucre et l'extrait de vanille pour obtenir un mélange homogène. Ajouter l'oeuf et continuer à battre.
• Faire griller les noix de pécan au four pendant 8 min.
• Incorporer peu à peu le mélange de farine à l'appareil.
• Lorsque les noix sont grillées, les mélanger à 20g de beurre et laisser refroidir un peu.
• Hacher le chocolat au couteau en morceaux d'au plus 5mm et mélanger brièvement à l'appareil.
• Hacher les noix au couteau en morceaux d'au plus 5mm et mélanger brièvement à l'appareil.
• Laisser reposer 2h30 au réfrigérateur.

• Préchauffer le four à 180 °C.
• Placer 8 ou 9 boules de pâte grossièrement formées d'environ 35 – 40mm de diamètre sur une plaque en aluminium recouverte d'une feuille de cuisson réutilisable. Replacer le reste de pâte au réfrigérateur.
• Cuire pendant 10 min au four à chaleur tournante.
• Laisser refroidir 5 min puis déplacer les cookies à l'aide d'une spatule sur une grille.
• Répéter les trois étapes précédentes avec le reste de la pâte.

• Conserver dans une boite à biscuits en métal.

Greg is bullied by his elder brother Rodrick. Their mother decides to let them settle their differences by themselves over a week end where they are home alone. Altough forbidden to do so, Rodrick organises a party, and Greg and him lie together to their parents about it. They become forcibly friends, until the truth is discovered and Rodrick is forbidden to play with his band in the school's talent show. In the meanwhile, they spend another week end at their grandfather's retirement home, where Greg befriends the girl in school on whom he has a crush. Later at the talent show, Greg then accepts, on his mother's insistance, to replace his friend Rowley's partner who has stage fright in his magics number, on the condition that Rodrick is allowed to play with his band. The two brothers get along better from that point on.

Sparta est envoyée sur Mars pour enquêter sur la disparition de la plaque martienne, un trésor archéologique comportant un texte écrit par des extra-terrestres il y a un milliard d'années. Au cours du vol, deux personnes ont été tuées. Sparta suspecte d'abord une personne ayant subi le même entraînement qu'elle, mais lorsque tous deux manquent de mourir, elle se tourne vers le directeur de l'hôtel. Ce dernier vient d'être assassiné, et laisse un témoignage enregisré décrivant celui qu'il suspecte être son assassin. Sparta le reconnaît et devine que la plaque a été envoyée sur Phobos avec une sorte de fusée utilisée par les géologues. Elle réquisitionne un vaisseau pour se rendre sur Phobos, et est attaquée d'abord par un faux cargo surarmé appartenant à la Fraternité, avant d'affronter l'assassin lui-même. Elle parvient à récupérer la plaque, mais ses assaillants prennent la fuite.

Maleficent is the guardian faerie of the Moors. The king of the neighbouring kingdom, failing to invade the Moors, promises the crown to whomever gets rid of Maleficent. Stefan, a stableboy who had developed a romantic relationship with Maleficent, gives in to his greed and treacherously cuts Maleficent's wings and gives them to the dying king. Some time later, the King becomes father of Aurora, who is blessed by three fairy godmothers, and cursed for revenge, by Maleficent. She observes how Aurora grows up and becomes fond of her. As Aurora turns sixteen, Maleficent fails to prevent the curse from happening, and Aurora falls into a the announced death-like sleep, from which she can only be awoken by true love's kiss. A kiss by a prince that Aurora had briefly met earlier fails to wake her up, but she does wake up after being kissed on the brow by Maleficent. The latter then fights the king, who eventually dies. Aurora then becomes queen of both the kingdom and the Moors, and marries the prince nonetheless.

My old NAS that I use for backups is now over 10 years old, and while it still works and faithfully backs-up my files every night, it has an always increasing probability to fail.

I decided to replace it with a Buffalo Linkstation 210, that offers 2 TB of space for 140 EUR, making it cheaper than building my own device, at the risk of not being able to use it the way I want it, being a commercial device that wasn't designed with my needs in mind.

The way I want to use the NAS is that it boots automatically at a given time, after which the backup script on the desktop starts, transfers the needed files, and puts the NAS to sleep mode again. That last feature was available on my previous device, but not anymore on the LS210. Hence the need to make it do my bidding.

Moreover, the Web UI for administrating the LS210 is horribly slow on my desktop due to bad Javascript code, so the less I have to use it, the better.

The device

The way to gain SSH access seems to vary depending on the exact version of the device and the firmware. Mine is precisely a LS210D0201-EU device with firmware version 1.63-0.04, bought in January 2017.

Initial setup

I found instructions on the nas-central.com forum. It relies on a Java tool called ACP_COMMANDER that apparently uses a backdoor of the device that is used for firmware updates and whatnots, but can apparently be used for running any kind of shell command on the device, as root, using the device's admin user's password.

Let's assume $IP is the IP address of the device and "password" is the password of the admin user on the device (it's the default password).

You can test that ACP_COMMANDER works with the following command that runs uname -a on the device:

It will output some amount of information (including a weird message about changing the IP and a wrong password ), but if you find the following in the middle of it, it means that it worked:

Starting the SSH server is then a matter of

• enabling the SSH feature (which, on this cheap model, is disabled by default),
• starting the SSH server,
• changing root's password to "root" so that we can login (the password can be changed to something more secure later).

This is achieved through the following commands:

On some older version of the firmware, root login was disabled in SSH, and needed to be allowed with

java -jar acp_commander.jar -t $IP -ip $IP -pw password -c "sed -i 's/#PermitRootLogin/PermitRootLogin/g' /etc/sshd_config"

but that is not the case on my device.

Once this is done, I can run

ssh root@$IP

and login with password "root" (which was set earlier).

One nasty feature of the device is that the /etc/nas_feature file gets rewritten on each boot through the initrd. One last step is then to edit /etc/init.d/sshd.sh and to comment out near the beginning of the file the few lines that check for the SSH/SFTP support and exit in case SSH is not supported:

According to a comment on the nas-central forum,

“The /etc/nas_feature is restored on each reboot, so sshd does not run on boot. Even if you change the init script.”

but I found this not to be true.

I checked that this setup really resists reboots, by logging in as root and typing reboot. SSH access was still possible after the device had restarted.

Going further

It was then possible to setup SSH access using keys; RSA and ECDSA are supported but not ED25519.

One missing feature is the sudo command, but I can live without it I guess.

I have then setup the device to wake up at a given time (through the “Sleep timer” feature in the administration Web UI). It is then possible to put the device to sleep by running as root

PowerSave.sh standby

The command is located in /usr/local/sbin, and this path is not available for non-interactive logins, so I wrote the following wrapper script to shutdown the device:

After having been put into standby, the device will then start automatically on the set time, or when the “function” button on the back is pressed.

Joel's girlfriend Clementine doesn't recognize him; he quickly learns that she used a medical treatment to remove all memories of him from her memory. Joel decides to get the same treatment to remove all memories of her. During the process (that lasts the whole night), he relives all the memories, and suffers when they disappear. The first memories are the most recent, where the couple was already fighting, but when it comes near the end of the night and the good memories start to disappear, he tries to hide them to keep them. At the end of the night however, he has totally forgotten her. But he is unconsciously drawn to a beach where he meets Clementine; they start a new relationship, oblivious of the previous one. They soon receive letters from the doctor's secretary, who, having left her employer after discovering that she had had a relationship with him and had willingly accepted to have it erased from her memory, has decided that patients should know rather than not. Joel and Clementine listen to the recordings of their interview with the doctor and each other's complaints about the other's behaviour, but eventually decide to try having a relationship again.
