“Fugles and Challenger hops plus a blend of 4 local barley malts… dark chocolate cream stout… bittersweet aftertaste”

Defintely chocolaty, and with a hint of the strange fruity taste found in the the brewer's Honey Porter beer. Oddly, the aftertaste sometimes (but not systematically) reminds me of a cold ashtray.

Just another stout, tastes clearly of roasted malt, but red berrys? Contains malted barley.

Fuller, Smith & Turner, London, England. 4.5% alcohol.

“thrice hopped with three types of hop… Goldings and Cascade combine to provide a citrus-grapefruit and floral aroma, while First Gold carries the bitterness… match with roast lamb and spicy Thai dishes”

Very flowery, only slightly bitter, overal quite good. Contains malted barley.

Very nice, flowery smell, with a hint of fresh bread. Contains barley malt.

“hint of ginger and citrus”

Not as heavily sweet and gingered as other ginger beers, this one is even slightly bitter. Contains barley malt.

Just another ale, malty and not too bitter.

Just another ale, quite bitter. With a bit of imagination, you can taste the grapefruit. Contains malted barley and wheat.

Very sweet, clear taste of ginger. Very nice. Contains barley malt.

Wychwood Brewery Co. Witney, Oxfordshire, England. 4.2% alcohol.

Falvoured with ginger, paprika, lemon, veronica, juniper berries and yarrow.

Not a real beer, but a real ginger ale. Tastes clearly like ginger and a little bit “medicinal” too, but in a good way.

Fentimans Ltd, Hexham, Northumberland, England. 0.5% alcohol.

Yet another pale ale, but closer to the kind I don't like very much. Contains malted wheat and barley.

George Gale &Co. Ltd, Fuller's Brewery, London, England. 3.8% alcohol.

“A limited edition seasonal stout brewed with cocoa nibs and ginger stems”

Tastes like Finnish piparkakku. The ginger is very obvious, but somehow the cocoa is not very clearly present. I wouldn't be surprised if there would be also cloves in the recipe. Contains barley malt.

Quite nice, sweet and a bit fruity. Contains malted barley.

Moles Brewery, Melksham, Wiltshire, England. 4.4% alcohol.

“Chestnut coloured, gruity, malty, well hopped bitter… brewed with English Maris Otter malted barley, some roasted barley and Fuggles and Golding Variety hops.”

Just another ale. Contains barley.

Quite sweet, not too bitter. Not convinced about the floral citrus aroma, I found it had more of a kind of a very fresh red fruit nuance. Contains barley and wheat.

“A classic red ale; brewed with large amounts of crystal malts, which give the beer a warm, red colour. Lots of whole hops – Cascade and Bobek – add a citrusy, hoppy aroma.”

Not bad, quite sweet and fruity/citrusy. Contains malted barley and malted wheat.

Smells strongly of litchi and a bit of passion fruit. Also quite bitter and terribly strong in alcohol. Contains malted barley.

BrewDog Ltd., Fraserburgh, Scotland. 9.2% alcohol

“citrus fruit, apricot and hop-resin aromas… malt character… hoppy, zesty approachability”

What the hell is approachability? Anyway, the beer's quite citrusy, but the after-taste has this I-don't-know-what I don't like in Germanic lagers. Contains malted barley and malted wheat.

Roasted, coffe-ish, both sweet and bitter. Contains barley (dark/light) malt and oats.

Wells & Young's Brewing Company Ltd, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England. 5.2% alcohol.

“British ale malt, continental lager malt, German and Slovenian hops… crisp, refreshing attack and a lingering fresh green hop flavour.”

Slightly bitter, nothing really remarkable. Contains malted barley and malted wheat.

Most probably the same as Little Valley's Withens IPA.

This time, I could easily notice the hint of orange in the taste. Contains barley malt and wheat malt.

Very flowery smell, very fruity and quite sweet taste. Very good. Contains wheat and malted barley.

Smells and tastes of read fruits, but much less than the usual fruit-flavoured Belgian beers. Contains malted barley.

Classic stout. Smells and tastes of roasted something (barley, it seems). Contains barley malt.

I can't put a name on the aroma, but it's a bit unusual. The aftertaste is typical of the lagers I don't like much. Contains malted barley.

Smells definitely like lychee, and has a quite bitter taste. Contains barley and wheat.

Smells quite much of blackcurrant, and tastes reasonnably bitter. Contains barley.

Noticeably bitter, not just another ale, but I can't identify any distincive flavour. Contains barley, wheat and oats.
